- Pediatric sports medicine. Our board certified specialists have the training to effectively treat musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries of growing children and adolescents, including overuse injuries, fractures and growth plate injuries.
- Orthopedic urgent care. NCOC’s urgent care center gives you immediate access to care for broken bones, sprains, musculoskeletal injuries, concussions and other sports injuries. Our board certified orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine-trained physician assistants and other staff specialize in the treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Hip arthroscopy, a technique to treat a variety of hip problems that once required open invasive surgery. Active individuals experiencing labral injuries, hip impingement and other hip problems can benefit from this minimally invasive outpatient treatment.

Board certified orthopedic surgeon Hunter Greene, M.D., leads SOS’s sports medicine program. Dr. Greene is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and pediatric sports medicine and is the only surgeon in the area fellowship-trained in hip arthroscopy. In addition to his sports medicine practice, Dr. Greene is the team physician for the United Football League’s Sacramento Mountain Lions. He also serves on the board of Positive Coaching Alliance, an organization dedicated to teaching athletes life lessons through sports. Dr. Greene focuses on injury prevention in his role with PCA.
